Wasn’t Bud easier? I don’t mean Junior driving the car, I mean writing it. It was simple - The Bud Car”. I am not going to say I wish he was still driving the red eight. My feelings are well known and that horse has long left the barn.
So now we must move on and learn to live with a new team and a new car. Both are much longer to write - DEI, like Bud was easy.
Hendricks Motorsports is a keyboard full but it can easily be abbreviated to - HMS. That was easy enough, so now that leaves the car. No longer “Bud”, we are now the Mountain Dew Amp National Guard car. Way to long for hunt and peckers like me to type.
That brings us to today’s order of business. I, as The Voice of The Earnhardt Nation, am invoking the second law of the great nation.
The law reads as follows;
“2) The Voice of The Nation (J Pat) is not to be questioned. I am all knowing on matters of The Nation. If you disbelieve this law refer to the second law for guidance.”
My decree thus reads;
On this date January 14, 2008, as Dale Earnhardt Jr circles Daytona during testing and officially begins his 2008 season his Mountain Dew Amp National Guard Chevrolet will, from this time and date forward, be referred to as the “M-Dang” Chevy.
I believe, by this decree, it will shorten the writing of all comments, messages and blogs. This will free up valuable time to spend cheering, rooting and other wise yelling support for our driver, the greatest living driver in NASCAR history - Dale Earnhardt Junior.
I thank you for your expected compliance with this decree.
